Piecework. A. It is further agreed that the employees will not contract, subcontract, work piecework, or work less than the scale of wages established by the Agreement. The EMPLOYERS agree not to offer and\or pay, and the employees will not accept, a bonus on specific performance on any individual job.
Piecework. A. The parties recognize that the piecework method of payment of wages frequently makes it impossible to calculate the hours worked by the employee; that the effect is to render it difficult, if not impossible, to enforce this contract so as to insure that employees working there under are receiving the proper negotiated rate and/or that the contractually required contributions are being made as to all hours required to be paid for. Such methods frequently result in the payment of wages to employees below the negotiated levels and the withholding from the Trust Funds and their participants of substantial amounts of contributions, all to the jeopardy of the fiscal integrity of the Trust Funds and the employee benefit programs they support.
Piecework. 12.1 Piecework is defined as work done and paid for by the piece i.e. a limited portion or quantity. The nature of the work performed will be defined according to the particular agreement as set out at subclause 12.2 of this Clause.
Piecework basis The scope of the piecework is determined in writing and signed by both parties before the work is commenced, if one of the parties so wishes. As far as possible, the allocation refers to supplied and dated drawings and descriptions. Any disagreement about an allocation may be dealt with according to the rules of industrial disagreements but does not affect the parties' right to work on a piecework basis.
Piecework. There shall be no limitation on the amount of work an employee shall perform during the day, or of the use of machinery or tools, and the Employer shall not, directly or indirectly, establish a quota for the employee to fulfill in the performance of work.
Piecework. In the case of piecework, refer to the provisions in Supplementary Agreement III to the Main Agreement.
Piecework. General rules Piecework is work for which all or part of the earnings varies according to performance, the quantity produced etc. Various piecework systems may be used. A written agreement must be made in advance determining the system of pay, such as time and motion study rates, or freely determined rates. Where time and motion rates are concerned, the parties must agree on use of time and motion studies. The basis for this is the “Guidelines for use of time and motion studies”, Basic Agreement, Supplementary Agreement III. Systematic work assessment may also be used pursuant to the Basic Agreement, Supplementary Agreement IV.
Piecework. 21.1 Agreements for piecework may be entered into between the employer and employees subject to the piecework rate being fixed and reviewed as necessary from time to time so as to enable the average competent employee to earn during working hours not less than such hourly rate to be calculated by dividing the standard appropriate weekly rate by 40 plus 20%.
Piecework. There shall be no piecework under this Agreement.
Piecework. The Company and the employees may come to an agreement on piecework rates which enable the average competent employee engaged in piecework to earn no less than 15% above the minimum hourly rates set out in Table 1, Rates of Pay. Such piecework rates shall be paid in lieu of the ordinary hourly rates of pay set out in Table 1.
