Section 6.9 Sample Clauses

Section 6.9. 14 During contract years where there are 261 or more work days, employees who work 260 days per year 15 and are hired by September 1 shall have the option to work the additional day(s) at their regular rate of 16 pay or take the day(s) off without pay. The designated additional day(s) shall be determined by the 17 District prior to the beginning of the work year. Employees shall communicate their choice with their 18 supervisor at least one month in advance of the designated day(s).
Section 6.9. For purposes of the Agreement, Section 6.9 shall be deleted and replaced in its entirety with:
Section 6.9. 16 Employees called back on a regular workday, or called on the sixth (6th) or seventh (7th) consecutive 17 workday, shall receive compensation for actual hours worked, not to be less than two (2) hours. 18 19 20 21 ARTICLE VII 22 23 HOLIDAYS AND VACATIONS 24
Section 6.9. 2 Each employee shall be assigned to a definite and regular shift and workweek, which shall not be 3 changed without prior notice to the employee of one (1) calendar week; except for emergency 4 situations, provided that; the regulation of shifts of transportation personnel shall be controlled 5 pursuant to Section 6.3 herein.
Section 6.9. 5 An employee who takes a higher paid classification and or position permanently will be paid at the 6 first (1st) rate in the higher classification and or position that will result in a salary increase. It is 7 understood that the employee’s longevity is retained. 9 All employees who are required, in writing, to work and assume a majority of the duties and 10 responsibilities in a higher paid classification and or position temporarily will be paid at the first (1st) 11 rate in the higher classification and or position that will result in a salary increase. The higher rate of 12 pay will be paid from first (1st) day.
Section 6.9. 12 Bus drivers shall be paid at the appropriate rate for downtime because of road restrictions. On 13 downtime days the driver would be requested to report for work each day unless notice is given to the 14 contrary.

Section 6.9. 14 With approval in advance by an employee’s supervising administrator, an employee may opt to request 15 compensatory time off in lieu of overtime compensation. Compensatory time, if granted, may be accrued; 16 provided, however, that records shall be maintained and there must be a reasonable expectation that the 17 employee will be able to expend the accrued time without disruption to the district program. Records 18 documenting compensatory time will include the date worked, time worked, total hours worked, name of 19 activity and supervising administrator’s signature. These records will be given to the supervising 20 administrator when the accrued compensatory time is used. The District shall not solicit employees to 21 accept compensatory time in lieu of other compensation. Compensatory time in lieu of overtime as 22 provided in this Article shall be accrued at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) hours for each hour
