Shift Bids. 6.12.01 Prior to automating the current line bidding process, the Company and the Union will discuss at the Headquarters Level.
Shift Bids. I. General
Shift Bids. 1. All employees covered by this Agreement have an assigned Bid Area. Within the Bid Area, all employees work an awarded shift with scheduled days off. In some Stations, generally the larger ones, certain Bid Areas may consist of several different Work Areas (ie: Xxxx0, Xxxx0 etc., Wide Body Crew, Xxxxxx 00, Xxxxxx 56, GSE Line, GSE Hangar etc.) In these instances all employees will have the option to bid, by seniority, into different work areas within the same Bid Area during each local Shift Bid. Except relief shifts, each employee shall have the same starting time on each of his regularly scheduled workdays. Employees transferring into a Bid Area will select a "Shift and Days Off pattern" from those available by Craft Seniority. (See, LOA #10, at page 1.)
Shift Bids. Prior to the annual work scheduled bid, if requested by the Union, the Employer and the Union shall meet and confer regarding the details of the bid process.

Shift Bids. Unless otherwise agreed between the Company and the Union, at least once a year the shift schedule will be opened for seniority bid. Adjustments to an individual employee’s schedule resulting from a bid will be handled through a transition period designed to ensure there is a minimal loss or gain in hours. Such adjustments will be made only following consultation with the Union Chairperson or their delegate.
Shift Bids. 19.01 Where a full-time shift becomes available, the Employer will post the availability for three (3) days and will assign the shift to the most senior full-time employee in the classification who expresses a desire by placing his or her name on the notice. Employees will be permitted to remove their name from a shift bid, provided it is removed prior to the closing date/time.
Shift Bids. Bids shall be conducted on an annual or semi-annual basis (if applicable) in accordance with local practices. Bids will be awarded to the most senior qualified employees. Eligibility and selection criteria for special event teams shall continue in accordance with local practices. Eligibility and selection criteria for the CCT-P program shall continue in accordance with Local EMS Agency (LEMSA) requirements, local agreements and practices. CCT-P program positions and assignments will be awarded to the most senior qualified employees.
