Transfer to Other Positions. 8.07 In the event a bargaining unit employee is promoted to a non-bargaining unit position, he shall accrue service and seniority and retain the continuous service and seniority previously acquired in the bargaining unit job. This clause shall not apply if the bargaining unit employee is not returned to the bargaining unit within twelve (12) months from such promotion or reclassification.

Transfer to Other Positions. (i) When a redundant employee transfers to another position for which the rate of pay is higher than the position previously held the employee will receive the higher rate upon taking up the position.
