Trial Period. Where a bargaining unit employee is promoted, he will be placed on trial for a forty-five (45) working day period, and upon satisfactory completion of the trial period will be confirmed in the position in writing by the Employer. If an employee is unable to perform the duties of the new position, he will be returned to the former position held. Any other employee(s) transferred or promoted as a result of the original job posting will also be returned to their former status.
