Vacation Eligibility. Subject to the provisions of Sections 3., 4., 8., and 9. hereof, vacations with pay shall be granted during the vacation year to each employee, except upon dismissal for misconduct, who shall have completed a period of six (6)-months’ employment since date of engagement or reengagement, whichever is later, and who has performed work for the Company within the vacation year, as follows:
Vacation Eligibility. Pay Annual vacations are based on length of continuous service with the Company (for clarity, service shall be deemed continuous for so long as an Employee retains a right to recall). The annual vacation reference period will be from January 1st to December 31st of each year or such other schedule as may be required to meet business needs. Vacations will be taken during each year, based on vacation time the employee is eligible for on December 31st of the prior year. Employees may be required to take their earned vacation during plant shutdown, which is normally scheduled for July of each year. All employees are required to submit an Authorized Time Off Form, twenty-four (24) hours in advance if they desire to be absent for vacation day(s). Subject to the proper operation of the business, the employee’s Supervisor will approve or deny the absence.
