Apprentice or Trainee means an employee who is engaged under a Training Agreement registered by the relevant State or Territory Training Authority, where the qualification outcome specified in the Training Agreement applies to work performed under some classifications contained in this agreement. For wage levels for Apprentices and Trainees refer Clauses 9.
Apprentice or Trainee means an apprentice or trainee within the meaning of the Vocational Education, Training and Employment Act 2000 (VETE Act). Apprenticeship and Traineeship have a corresponding meaning.

Training for new entrants will be determined in accordance with the needs of the enterprise, but shall involve instruction aimed at assisting the trainees to achieve the range of competencies required at skill level 2. Promotional Criteria An employee remains at this level for up to the first three months. LEVEL 2:.
