Contracting State definition

Contracting State means a State party to the Treaty;
Contracting State means a Contracting Party that is a State;
Contracting State means a State which has consented to be bound by the treaty, whether or not the treaty has entered into force;

Examples of Contracting State in a sentence

  • Items of income of a resident of a Contracting State, wherever arising, not dealt with in the foregoing Articles of this Convention shall be taxable only in that Contracting State.

  • Income from debt-claims arising in a Contracting State and paid to a resident of the other Contracting State may be taxed in that other Contracting State.

  • A student who is present in a Contracting State solely for the purpose of the student’s education or training and who is, or immediately before being so present was, a resident of the other Contracting State, shall be exempt from tax in the first-mentioned Contracting State on payments received from outside that first-mentioned Contracting State for the purposes of the student’s maintenance, education or training.
