General Xxxxxxx. MEANS A QUALIFIED EMPLOYEE WHO HAS THE ABILITY TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY AND TO TAKE CHARGE OF NON-WORKING FOREMEN UNDER HIS DIRECTION. HE SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE EMPLOYER WHEN THERE ARE THREE (3) NON-WORKING FOREMEN ON ANY ONE PROJECT BUT NOTHING SHALL PREVENT AN EMPLOYER FROM APPOINTING A GENERAL XXXXXXX WHEN THERE ARE LESS THAN THREE (3) NON-WORKING FOREMEN IF IT IS DESIRABLE TO DO SO.
General Xxxxxxx. When one of the Laborers has been assigned to supervise two or more foremen, he/she shall be designated to act as General Xxxxxxx and shall receive ten (10%) percent per hour above the highest classification supervised. ZONE PAY DIFFERENTIAL
General Xxxxxxx means a Journeyman designated by the Contractor, or in charge of a crew of TEN (10) or more persons covered by this Agreement.

Before providing any and all Services at a site, a Contractor shall determine if it is or may be potentially liable, as defined by Connecticut General Xxxxxxx §00x-000 or any other State or Federal law, for the pollution or contamination at the site.

The Employer and the Union recognize the fact that the position of General Xxxxxxx, if utilized, is not the sole jurisdiction of any one craft.
More Definitions of General Xxxxxxx
General Xxxxxxx means an employee who is a Journeyman Electrician who has the ability to accept responsibility, to take charge of Xxxxxxx and has been appointed “General Xxxxxxx” by his or her Employer.

General Xxxxxxx. On industrial jobs requiring three (3) foremen, the Employer shall appoint a General Xxxxxxx. The General Xxxxxxx shall be a journeyman member of Local Union 1443 and will not be required to work with the tools. On industrial work the minimum rate of wages for General Foremen when responsible for sixty (60) or more Journeymen shall be twenty-five (25%) percent above the Journeyman's rate. General Foremen responsible for less than sixty (60) Journeymen shall receive fifteen (15%) percent above the Journeyman's rate. The minimum rate for Foremen shall be ten (10%) percent above the Journeyman's rate.
General Xxxxxxx means a journeyman electrician who supervises other foremen.
General Xxxxxxx. Shall negotiate a rate above the Xxxxxxx rate of pay on a project-to-project basis. Marble, Tile and Terrazzo Finishers: The rate of pay shall be as follows: First Year – 65% of Journeyman Bricklayers base rate. Second Year – 70% of Journeyman Bricklayers base rate. First Year or 1,000 hours of completed work at 65% of Journeyman base rate. Second Year or additional 1,000 hours of completed work at 70% of Journeyman base rate. After 2 years or 2,000 hours of completed work – 75% of base rate. Same fringe benefit package as Journeyman Bricklayer. Industrial Construction shall include all mines, industrial manufacturing and processing plants such as ore plants, paper xxxxx, power houses, hydroelectric dams, foundries, saw xxxxx, wood processing plants or other industrial complexes to be determined on industrial projects or sites where uniform construction agreements are utilized or where Maintenance Agreements are used to perform industrial maintenance work.
