Grievances concerning layoffs and recalls shall be initiated at Step two (2) of the Grievance Procedure by the Union within twenty-one (21) days.
The Hospital will recognize a Grievance Committee composed of the Chief Xxxxxxx and not more than (as set out in Local Provisions Appendix) employees selected by the Union who have completed their probationary period.
The Union shall keep the Hospital notified in writing of the names of the members of the Grievance Committee appointed or selected under this Article as well as the effective date of their respective appointments.
An employee considered by the Union to be wrongfully or unjustly discharged or suspended shall be entitled to a hearing under Article 11, Grievance Procedure.
The Employer may institute a grievance against the Union or Employees, in writing at step 2 of the Grievance Procedure, provided it is presented within ten (10) days after the circumstances giving rise to the grievance have originated or occurred.
