Professional Institute definition

Professional Institute means the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (« Institut professionnel »);
Professional Institute means an institution or a college including a professional college recognised by or affiliated to any university or a body or including the institutions or colleges established by or under a statute of the Central Government or the State Government, as the case may be, for imparting education and awarding degree after senior secondary level school education.

  • Professional Investor means an investor who possesses the experience, knowledge and expertise to make its own investment decisions and properly assess the risks that it incurs. Professional investors include, among others, entities which are required to be authorised or regulated to operate in the financial markets, large undertakings, and other institutional investors whose main activity is to invest in financial instruments;

  • Participating Financial Institution means a financial institution participating in Interac e-Transfer Services, Online Payment Services, or Western Union Services, as the case may be.

  • Allied Health Professional means a person registered as an allied health professional with the Health Professions Council;

  • Custodial Institution means any Entity that holds, as a substantial portion of its business, financial assets for the account of others. An entity holds financial assets for the account of others as a substantial portion of its business if the entity’s gross income attributable to the holding of financial assets and related financial services equals or exceeds 20 percent of the entity’s gross income during the shorter of: (i) the three-year period that ends on December 31 (or the final day of a non-calendar year accounting period) prior to the year in which the determination is being made; or (ii) the period during which the entity has been in existence.

  • Professional Client means a “Professional Client” for the purposes of CySEC Rules, as specified in the Client Categorization Policy found on the Company’s Website.

  • Home Health Care Agency means an agency or organization which provides a program of home health care and which:

  • Health care professional means a physician or other health care practitioner licensed, accredited or certified to perform specified health care services consistent with state law.

  • Licensed financial institution means a financial institution issued a license under this act.

  • Licensed health care professional means a person who possesses a professional medical license that is valid in Oregon.   • Professional Sports means a sport, which would remunerate a player in excess of 50% of his or her annual income as a means of their livelihood.

  • Training Institution means the Grantee.

  • Professional means an Entity: (a) employed pursuant to a Bankruptcy Court order in accordance with sections 327, 363, or 1103 of the Bankruptcy Code and to be compensated for services rendered prior to or on the Confirmation Date, pursuant to sections 327, 328, 329, 330, 331, and 363 of the Bankruptcy Code; or (b) awarded compensation and reimbursement by the Bankruptcy Court pursuant to section 503(b)(4) of the Bankruptcy Code.

  • Health professional means an individual licensed or otherwise authorized to engage in a health profession under article 15 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.16101 to 333.18838, and whose scope of practice includes the diagnosis and treatment of individuals with a substance use disorder.

  • Participating institution means an "institution" as defined in KRS 164.001 that actively participates in the federal Pell Grant program, executes a contract with the authority on terms the authority deems necessary or appropriate for the administration of its programs, and:
