BEARING HOUSING. 3.1 This will be suitably sized, thick walled pipe welded and machined to accommodate the centre shaft bearings in collars. 3.2 Grease nipples will be provided in easily accessible position for lubrication of both bearings. 3.3 The top bearings will be covered with weather proof bolted down cover late to facilitate easy bearing access. The bottom bearing will be sealed with an approved dust seal 3.4 The radial arms will be welded to the top of the bearings housing. The method of gusseting and welding these radial arms to the bearing housing will insure rigidity and strength and be to the approval of the Council inspector. 3.5 After fully pressing the radial arms into the machined tubes they will be welded in place. 3.6 Sufficient provision will be made to ensure that no distortion of the machined bearings collars take place when the top arm assembly is welded. 4. FINISH 4.1 The final paint colour will be bright yellow 5. INSTALLATION 5.1 The concrete pedestal base will be 900 × 900 × 900 in size with eight 25 mm diameter anchor. Bolts set in it at a P C D of 450 mm. 5.2 The terrace base will be circular with a diameter pf 5.5 m. On Completion of installation, a completion certificate must be submitted, which guarantees that it was professionally installed and is suitable for use by the public.
