Common use of 100 Definition Clause in Contracts

100 Definition. A grievance shall be defined as any difference of opinion between the parties to this Agreement concerning its interpretation, application, operation or any alleged violation thereof, including discharge for cause alleged to be unjust by the Union. Such discharge shall not include layoff of Employees for reasons of project efficiency, or reduction of forces on suspension or completion of work.
