/48 HOUR EMPLOYEES. Hour Employees: The date of the actual recognized holiday shall be considered as the observed holiday. A 24/48 hour employee forfeits holiday pay if he/she does not work his/her scheduled unit day before and after the holiday, unless the absence is excused and the employee has sick leave available and is not under disciplinary suspension.
