Academic Support. 6.7.1 The Board shall provide each department with support funds for general operations which shall be allocated by the department head in consultation with the faculty. 6.7.2 The Board shall continue to provide academic support in the following areas: clerical services, office supplies, equipment, laboratory supplies, duplicating, campus mail services, office space, research, scholarship, and creative projects, curriculum development, instructional improvement projects, professional development, and an allocation for library expenditures. 6.7.3 The Board shall provide funds at the college level to facilitate bringing academic guests and speakers to the University. 6.7.4 The Board shall make professional development and scholarship funds available to each full-time faculty member with an academic year or full year appointment as follows: $1,150 for 2021-2022, $1,350 for 2022-2023, $1,550 for 2023-2024, $1,600 for 2024-2025, and $1,650 for 2025-2026. The primary purpose of these funds is to support approved faculty travel. However, other approved expenditures in support of professional development and scholarship may be made upon the approval of the department faculty and Department Head. These funds shall be allocated to the department’s professional development account on July 1 of each year. The annual professional development funds shall in turn be allocated to each eligible faculty member by the department head. 6.7.4.1 Funds allocated for faculty travel or professional development under Section 6.7.4 and not expended during the fiscal year will be carried forward for professional development in the subsequent fiscal year provided however that on June 30 of each year, any faculty member’s total in excess of the sum of the previous three (3) years’ allocation will revert to the department’s professional development account. On July 1 a faculty member can have a maximum of the previous three (3) years’ allocation plus the current year’s allocation available for professional development. Due to COVID, we will allow four (4) years’ allocation to accumulate during the life of this agreement. Funds that revert to the professional development account will be made available to the faculty in the department by the department head in consultation with the department faculty as specified in the department bylaws. Academic Support. FCTC’s Academic Coaching program provides one-on-one academic tutoring and mentoring. The primary role of the Academic Coaching program is to provide support to FCTC students who have tested at the equivalent of 9th grade and above but lack the required level of basic skills for completion of their CTE program. Students MUST meet program basic skills exit requirements prior to being submitted to the Board of Nursing to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) exam.
Academic Support. NTU is currently reviewing the provision of academic study skill development to students. Whilst we have a good track record of offering innovative support using staff and student mentors, we are seeking to develop an approach which is both more integrated and better targeted. We will increase the academic support provided to students by increasing online learning resources, providing further staff development in academic support and increasing one-to-one contact by both staff advisors and student mentors. A proportion of the costs of these developments will be attributed to „additional retention‟.
Academic SupportLicensee shall be entitled to receive telephone, and email support for one designated customer representative per Site License free-of- charge. COREL may, in its sole discretion and as agreed to by the Licensee in writing, provide telephone and/or email support for additional designated customer representatives; there may be a supplementary charge for this support. Additional persons may be designated to receive electronic support (i.e., Knowledge base and other online tools). COREL will address technical support requests on a reasonable efforts basis only and may not be able to resolve all problems or requests. COREL agrees to support the Software only if it is used under appropriate operating conditions, and in conjunction with hardware systems, components and software operating systems for which it was designed. COREL reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of its support offering without notice.
Academic Support. (i) The Association shall provide academic support in relation to the Study-Unit MSP 1284 entitled ‘Band Conducting’. This study-unit shall be taught primarily by UM lecturers, but the Association shall forward to UM’s Department of Music Studies the details, and namely, the name and a detailed curriculum vitae, of qualified tutors who are able and willing to contribute towards the teaching of this subject. (ii) All financial costs relating to any arrangement pursued in terms of (i) shall be borne by the Association.
Academic Support. (1) With respect to the issues, raised in writing by Party A, concerning teaching staff, curriculum, schedule, teaching method, etc, on the authorized content distribution business, Party B should provide timely feed-back and explanation and related materials; (2) In case the teaching method on authorized replacement curriculum fails to meet the system requirement of Party B or the teaching method is proved harmful to the reputation or interest of Party B, Party B shall be entitled to require Party A to take remedial measures within 15 working days. (3) Party B shall be in charge of training, examination and assessment of teachers of Party A. Teachers appointed by Party A could only take posts and start teaching the replacement curriculum stipulated in this agreement after being examined and approved by Party B. (4) Party B shall be entitled to make spot checks on the students of replacement curriculum, to verify whether they are registered students.
Academic SupportAdjunct faculty will continue to receive support from the university regarding classroom manage- ment and the observance of university regulations.
Academic SupportSubject to these Terms and Conditions and the Qualified Institution's continued compliance with the Agreement, the purchase of a Software License shall entitle the Qualified Institution to receive free- of-charge electronic support (i.e., knowledge-base and other on-line tools) (“Academic Support”), which may not be able to resolve all problems or requests; COREL makes no commitment to resolve all problems or requests. COREL agrees to support the Software only if it is used under appropriate operating conditions, and in conjunction with hardware systems, components, and software operating systems for which it was designed, and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. COREL reserves the right to change Academic Support and its terms and conditions at any time and from time to time, in Our sole discretion and without notice to the Qualified Institution.
