ACCEPTANCE OF FINAL PAYMENT CONSTITUTES RELEASE. The acceptance by the Contractor of final payment for any portion of the Project shall release the City, the City Representative, and their officers, employees, agents, and sub-consultants from all claims and all liability to the Contractor for all things done or furnished in connection with the Project, and every act of the City and others relating to or arising out of the Project except claims previously made in writing and still unsettled. No payment, however, final or otherwise, shall operate to release the Contractor or his Sureties from obligations under this Contract and the Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and other bonds, warranties and guarantees as provided in this Agreement.
