Common use of Access by DHHS Clause in Contracts

Access by DHHS. Subcontractor agrees to make internal practices, books and records including policies and procedures and PHI relating to the use and disclosure of PHI received from, or created or received by Subcontractor on behalf of, University available to the University, or to the Secretary, in a time and manner designated by the University or the Secretary, for the purposes of the Secretary determining University’s and Subcontractor’s compliance with HIPAA and its implementing regulations.
