Common use of Access by Road Clause in Contracts

Access by Road. CONTRACTOR, if necessary, shall build other temporary access roads to the actual site of construction for his own work at his own cost. The CONTRACTOR shall be required to permit the use of the roads so constructed by him for vehicles of any other parties who may be engaged on the project site. The CONTRACTOR shall also facilitate the construction of the permanent roads should the construction there of start while he is engaged on this work. He shall make allowance in his tender for any inconvenience he anticipates on such account. Non-availability of access roads, railway siding and railway wagons for the use of the CONTRACTOR shall in no case condone any delay in the execution of WORK nor be the cause for any claim for compensation against the EMPLOYER.
