Accidents Covered by Workers’ Compensation. i. An Employee prevented from performing his/her regular work with the Employer on account of an occupational accident or illness that is recognized by the Workers' Compensation Board as compensable within the meaning of the Workers Compensation Act, shall receive from the Employer the difference between the amount payable by the Workers' Compensation Board and his/her regular salary, provided that such Employee shall not be entitled to use his/her sick leave credits. ii. Compensation does not include a disability pension or other final settlement award arising from such disability. Compensation means periodic payments during the period of temporary disablement.
