Account Balance Not Greater than $5,000. The provisions of this section shall not apply for any Participant whose Vested Balance, at the Annuity Starting Date, is not greater than $5,000. Specifically, the otherwise applicable consent requirements shall not apply. In such event, a Participant's Vested Account Balance shall be distributed in a lump sum.

Account Balance Not Greater than $5,000. A distribution may occur without satisfying the spousal consent requirements set forth in this Appendix A if the present value of the nonforfeitable benefit does not exceed $5,000. In such event, a Participant’s Vested Account Balance shall be distributed in a lump sum, if the balance is $1,000 or less or, if the balance is greater than $1,000 but not exceeding $5,000, in a direct rollover for the benefit of the Participant to an individual retirement arrangement designated by the Plan Administrator, if elected in the Adoption Agreement to provide for such automatic rollover.
