Accruals While on Leave Clause Samples
The "Accruals While on Leave" clause defines how an employee's benefits, such as vacation or sick leave, continue to accumulate during periods when the employee is on approved leave. Typically, this clause specifies whether accruals are maintained at the normal rate, paused, or reduced depending on the type of leave taken, such as paid versus unpaid leave. Accruals While on Leave. An employee’s sick leave, CalPERS service credits, seniority, and vacation will not accrue while on an approved personal leave and in an unpaid status. However, an employee’s status as a regular employee will not be impaired by such leave of absence.
Accruals While on Leave a. While on a leave of absence, a CCM shall continue to accrue seniority.
b. While on a leave of absence, a CCM shall not accrue sick leave or vacation time, except CCMs on leave for Worker Compensation sickness or injury on the job will accrue vacation.
