Action Subsequent to Voting. 15.6.1 By the date specified in clause, 15.6.6, the Member, the Member's Xxxx, and Chair shall be informed of the Senate Promotion and Tenure Committee's recommendation, including a numerical record of the vote upon which the recommendation is based, and a written statement of reasons for that recommendation. If the recommendation is not unanimous, the statement shall include reasons supporting and opposing the recommendation. Such reasons shall relate only to the conditions and criteria for tenure and promotion. 15.6.2 By the date specified in clause 15.6.6, the Vice-President: Academic shall forward a report to the President and this report shall include the application for promotion and/or tenure, as appropriate, together with documentation presented, the Department (or equivalent) Appointment and Promotion Committee's recommendation as described in 15.4.5, and the Senate Promotion and Tenure Committee's recommendation as described in 15.6.1. If either or both of these recommendations are not unanimous, the material forwarded to the President shall include the statement(s) of the reasons supporting and opposing the recommendation. (a) The President, after preparing and submitting his/her recommendation to the Board, shall forward a copy to the Member together with reasons for the recommendation. (b) The President shall submit his/her recommendation to the Board at the first reasonable opportunity following receipt of the recommendation of the Senate Promotion and Tenure Committee. (c) The recommendation of the President or his/her failure to make a recommendation to the Board under this clause 15.6.3, shall be subject to the grievance and arbitration procedures set forth in Article 27 of this Agreement. 15.6.4 Within five (5) working days of the Board's decision, or at the latest by the date specified in clause 15.6.6, the President or his/her designate shall give the Member formal notice of the granting or denial of promotion and/or tenure.
