Common use of Acupuncture Services Clause in Contracts

Acupuncture Services. Benefits are available for Medically Necessary acupuncture services for the treatment of Musculoskeletal and Related Disorders. Benefits include an initial examination, subsequent office visits and the treatment of:  headaches (tension-type and migraines);  hip or knee joint pain associated with osteoarthritis (OA);  other extremity joint pain associated with OA or mechanical irritation;  other pain syndromes involving the joints and associated soft tissues;  back and neck pain; and  nausea associated with pregnancy, surgery, or chemotherapy.
