ADDITIONAL ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES. If A/E forms a reasonable opinion that any work he/she/it has been directed to perform is beyond the overall scope of this First Amended Agreement, as set forth in Exhibit B or within an executed Work Authorization and any applicable Supplemental Work Authorization, and as such constitutes extra work (“Additional Architectural and Engineering Services”), he/she/it shall promptly notify County in writing. In the event County finds that such work does constitute Additional Architectural and Engineering Services, County shall so advise A/E and a written Contract Amendment will be executed between the parties as provided in Article 14. Any increase to the Compensation Cap due to Additional Architectural and Engineering Services must be set forth in such Contract Amendment. A/E shall not perform any proposed Additional Architectural and Engineering Services nor incur any additional costs prior to the execution, by both parties, of a written Contract Amendment. Following the execution of a Contract Amendment that provides for Additional Architectural and Engineering Services, a written Work Authorization, which sets forth the Additional Architectural and Engineering Services to be performed, must be executed by the parties. County shall not be responsible for actions by A/E nor for any costs incurred by A/E relating to Additional Architectural and Engineering Services not directly associated with the performance of the Architectural and Engineering Services authorized in this First Amended Agreement, by a fully executed Work Authorization or a fully executed Contract Amendment thereto.
