Additional Contract Conditions on Initial Appointment. A. The Xxxx in consultation with the search committee may recommend to the Xxxxxxx that individuals be hired with specific conditions placed on their contract, such as completion of the discipline-appropriate degree by a specified date, willingness to provide online instruction, etc. B. Any condition approved by the search committee, the Xxxx, and the Xxxxxxx, shall be included on the Worksheet Summary for the candidate, and the appointment letter. C. Statements of conditions on the appointment letter must include the deadline by which the condition must be met, the criteria used to determine whether a condition has been met, and the penalty for not meeting a condition. D. Bargaining unit members employed into a tenure track position but with conditions will be placed at the rank for which the current credentials are met. Upon satisfaction of the conditions, the Bargaining Unit Member will be reevaluated and reclassified at the appropriate higher rank and salary step that would have met the minimum conditions for the initial employment. This action will not be retroactive or treated as a promotion for salary purposes as provided in Article 15.
