Additional Parenting Leave. A leave of absence of up to twelve (12) consecutive weeks may to granted to an employee who has exhausted their FMLA leave resulting from the birth or adoption of a child and who requests additional parenting leave. A vacancy created by such a leave shall be deemed a “temporary vacancy” meaning that the vacancy may be filled by a detail under Section 16.
