Additional Professional Development Opportunities. 1. If funding is available the Committee will pay the reasonable expenses (including fees, meals, lodging and/or transportation) incurred by Teachers who attend workshops, seminars, conferences, or other professional improvement sessions with the advance approval of the Superintendent. 2. Each Teacher may be granted upon reasonable request at least one day's leave of absence with full pay to explore and investigate educational programs. On such a day a substitute teacher will be hired to direct his/her classes.
