Administrative Hearing Board. Whenever charges are brought against an employee of the Sheriff’s Office, the Sheriff or his designee(s), along with other members of the administrative staff, will hold a hearing with the accused employee and his representative for the purpose of determining the validity of the charges. The employee shall be given 24 hours notice of the hearing. The charged employee shall answer the charges at the hearing. (Only exceptions would fall under Xxxxxxx Rule). The employee may waive his right to a hearing if discipline is a written warning or less severe. Any union member called as a witness shall be given 24 hours notice.
