Common use of Adoption Policy Clause in Contracts

Adoption Policy. Employees who are adopting a child are entitled to use up to twenty (20) days of their accumulated sick leave. Employees who have accrued more than twenty (20) days of sick leave may also request in writing to the Superintendent permission to use up to one-half of their accrued sick leave beyond twenty (20) days during their family leave. Any family leave granted for adoption purposes, whether paid or unpaid, shall not exceed the twelve (12) calendar week limit provided in Section 4.3.6 governing Family Leave.
