Common use of Affiliate Use Clause in Contracts

Affiliate Use. “Affiliate” means, in relation to a party, any entity that directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by, or is under direct or indirect common control with such party, or which is a wholly owned subsidiary of such party, where “control” means owning, directly or indirectly, at least 51% of the equity securities or equity interests of such entity.
