Agreement to Pay Taxes. Redeveloper agrees to pay all real property taxes levied upon the Project Site prior to the time the taxes become delinquent. This contractual obligation to pay such taxes prior to delinquency shall cease upon expiration of the Tax Increment Period, but the City in no way waives the statutory obligation to continue to pay real estate taxes. This provision shall not be deemed a waiver of the right to protest or contest the valuation of the lots or improvements for tax purposes.
