Jury Duty and Court Appearance 11.4.1 When summoned to serve on a jury; when subpoenaed as a witness in criminal proceedings, or as a witness in a civil action if not a party thereto; when appearing as a defendant in a criminal or traffic case if acquitted therefrom; the employee, to qualify for permission from the Xxxx/delegate to be absent with pay, shall produce the summons or subpoena or submit such other evidence showing the necessity for court appearance.
Jury Duty and Court Appearances (1) An employee who is summoned as a member of a jury panel or subpoenaed as a witness in a matter not involving the employee's personal interests, shall be granted leave with pay and any jury or witness fees shall be retained by the employee; leave granted hereunder shall not affect an employee's annual or sick leave balance.
Jury or Court Witness Duty The Employer shall grant leave of absence without loss of seniority to an employee who is called as a juror or witness in any court. The Employer shall pay such an employee the difference between the normal earnings and the payment received for jury service or court witness, excluding payment for travelling, meals, or other expenses. The employee will present proof of service and the amount of pay received.

County of Orange Child Support Enforcement In order to comply with the child support enforcement requirements of the County of Orange, within ten (10) days of notification of selection of award of CONTRACT but prior to official award of CONTRACT, the selected CONTRACTOR agrees to furnish to the CONTRACT MANAGER, the Purchasing Agent, or the agency/department deputy purchasing agent:
Court ordered services and supplies including court-ordered care or testing, or services required as a condition of parole, probation, release or because of any legal proceeding.
APPLICABLE LAW, FORUM, VENUE AND JURISDICTION (a) This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to the principles of conflicts of law.
APPLICABLE LAWS AND COURTS This resulting contract shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and any litigation with respect thereto shall be brought in the courts of the Commonwealth. The agency and the Purchaser are encouraged to resolve any issues in controversy arising from the award of the contract or any contractual dispute using Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) procedures (Code of Virginia, § 2.2-4366). The Purchaser shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations.
Conflict with Existing Law The Contractor and the County agree that if any provision of this Contract is found to be illegal or unenforceable, such term or provision shall be deemed stricken and the remainder of the Contract shall remain in full force and effect. Either Party having knowledge of such term or provisions shall promptly inform the other of the presumed non- applicability of such provision. Should the offending provision go to the heart of the Contract, the Contract shall be terminated in a manner commensurate with interests of both Parties to the maximum extent reasonable.
Waiver of Appellate and Post-Conviction Rights a. The defendant acknowledges, understands and agrees that by pleading guilty pursuant to this plea agreement he waives his right to appeal or collaterally attack a finding of guilt following the acceptance of this plea agreement, except on grounds of (1) ineffective assistance of counsel; or (2) prosecutorial misconduct.
