  • PATRONS AND HONORARY OFFICERS 124. The Governors may from time to time appoint any person whether or not a Member of the Academy Trust to be a patron of the Academy Trust or to hold any honorary office and may determine for what period he is to hold such office. THE SEAL 125. The seal, if any, shall only be used by the authority of the Governors or of a committee of Governors authorised by the Governors. The Governors may determine who shall sign any instrument to which the seal is affixed and unless otherwise so determined it shall be signed by a Governor and by the Secretary or by a second Governor. ACCOUNTS 126. Accounts shall be prepared in accordance with the relevant Statement of Recommended Practice as if the Academy Trust was a non-exempt charity and Parts 15 and 16 of the Companies Act 2006 and shall file these with the Secretary of State and the Principal Regulator by 31 December each Academy Financial Year.   • Consider Operator as School Official The Parties agree that Operator is a “school official” under FERPA and has a legitimate educational interest in personally identifiable information from education records. For purposes of the Service Agreement and this DPA, Operator: (1) provides a service or function for which the LEA would otherwise use employees; (2) is under the direct control of the LEA with respect to the use and maintenance of education records; and

  • WHO NEEDS TO FILE THE SPR The principal or his/her authorized agent needs to complete and sign the SPR and warrant that the information provided on the SPR is true and correct. A principal that is a governmental entity does not need to file an SPR. HOW ARE THE KEY RELEVANT TERMS DEFINED? Expenditure means “a payment, distribution, loan, advance, reimbursement, deposit, or anything of value made by a lobbyist or principal for the purpose of lobbying. This may include public relations expenditures (including but not limited to petitions, flyers, purchase of media time, cost of print and distribution of publications) but does not include contributions or expenditures reported pursuant to Chapter 106, Florida Statutes, or federal election law, campaign-related personal services provided without compensation by individuals volunteering their time, any other contribution or expenditure made by or to a political party, or any other contribution or expenditure made by an organization that is exempt from taxation under 26 U.S.C. s. 527 or s. 501(c)(4).” (See Section 112.3215, Florida Statutes.) Professional fees paid by the principal to his/her lobbyist for the purpose of lobbying are not deemed to be “expenditures.” (See Section 2-354, Orange County Code.) Lobbying means seeking “to encourage the approval, disapproval, adoption, repeal, rescission, passage, defeat or modification of any ordinance, resolution, agreement, development permit, other type of permit, franchise, vendor, Contractor, contractor, recommendation, decision or other foreseeable action of the [BCC],” and “include[s] all communications, regardless of whether initiated by the lobbyist or by the person being lobbied, and regardless of whether oral, written or electronic.” (See Section 2-351, Orange County Code.) Furthermore, lobbying means communicating “directly with the County Mayor, with any other member of the [BCC], or with any member of a procurement committee.” (See Section 2-351, Orange County Code.) Lobbying also means communicating “indirectly with the County Mayor or any other member of the [BCC]” by communicating with any staff member of the Mayor or any member of the BCC, the county administrator, any deputy or assistant county administrator, the county attorney, any county department director, or any county division manager. (See Section 2-351, Orange County Code.) Lobbying does not include the act of appearing before a Sunshine Committee, such as the Development Review Committee or the Roadway Agreement Committee other than the BCC.

  • Municipal and School Board Offices (1) Employees may seek election to municipal and school board offices, provided that:

  • CERTIFICATE OF AUTHORITY The Trust, the Adviser and the Sub-Adviser shall furnish to each other from time to time certified copies of the resolutions of their Boards of Trustees/Directors or executive committees, as the case may be, evidencing the authority of officers and employees who are authorized to act on behalf of the Trust, a Fund Account, the Adviser and/or the Sub-Adviser.

  • Records to be kept 8.1 The Recipient must:

  • TERMINATION OF AUTHORITY Immediately upon the Executive terminating or being terminated from his employment with the Company for any reason, notwithstanding anything else appearing in this Agreement or otherwise, the Executive will stop serving the functions of his terminated or expired position(s) and shall be without any of the authority or responsibility for such position(s).

  • Teaching Staff Assigned to More Than One Building Each Educator who is assigned to more than one building will be evaluated by the appropriate administrator where the individual is assigned most of the time. The principal of each building in which the Educator serves must review and sign the evaluation, and may add written comments. In cases where there is no predominate assignment, the superintendent will determine who the primary evaluator will be.
