Alternate Procedure. In the event that no notices of interest are received from applicants for the positions outlined in Section 8.1, or in the event none of the applicants is determined to be qualified, the Sheriff may reopen the selection process in accordance with the procedure set forth herein or assign an employee pursuant to the provisions of the transfer policy.
