Common use of Amendment of PHI Clause in Contracts

Amendment of PHI. If Associate maintains Protected Information contained within CE’s Designated Record Set, Associate or its agents or Subcontractors shall make such Protected Information available to CE for amendment within ten (10) business days of receipt of a request from CE for an amendment of Protected Information or a record about an individual contained in a Designated Record Set, and shall incorporate any such amendment to enable CE to fulfill its obligations with respect to requests by individuals to amend their PHI under the HIPAA Rules, including, but not limited to, 45 C.F.R. Section 164.
