Common use of Amendment of Shipbuilding Contract Clause in Contracts

Amendment of Shipbuilding Contract. The Builder and the Buyer agree that, to the extent that they are inconsistent with the terms of the Shipbuilding Contract, the terms of this Agreement shall prevail and shall take effect as an amendment of the Shipbuilding Contract, but that otherwise, subject as amended by this Agreement, the Shipbuilding Contract shall continue in full force and effect and where necessary shall be read and construed as if the terms of this Agreement were inserted thereon by way of addition or substitution (as the case may be).
