Announcement; Press Releases. In connection with the execution of this Agreement, Ameriana Bancorp and First Merchants intend to jointly issue a press release mutually acceptable to the parties. Except as otherwise required by law, neither Ameriana Bancorp nor the Bank shall issue any additional press releases or make any other public announcements or disclosures relating to the Merger and the other transactions contemplated hereby without the prior approval of First Merchants provided, however, that nothing in this Section 7.6 shall be deemed to prohibit any party from making any disclosure that its counsel deems necessary in order to satisfy such party’s disclosure obligation imposed by law.
