Application and Block Out Days Clause Samples
The 'Application and Block Out Days' clause defines the specific days or periods when certain rights, services, or benefits under an agreement are either available or restricted. In practice, this clause typically lists dates—such as holidays, peak seasons, or special events—when normal terms do not apply, and access may be limited or denied. Its core function is to set clear expectations and prevent disputes by explicitly identifying exceptions to standard availability, ensuring both parties understand when services or privileges are not accessible.
Application and Block Out Days. Any leave under this section, whenever possible, shall be applied for at least one (1) day in advance in writing and will be approved or disapproved by the principal or his/her designee. The teacher should make an effort to pre-arrange for a preferred sub prior to taking Personal Business Leave. The written application for the leave shall be submitted on the district-provided form. No personal business leave shall be allowed during Park Hill designated block out days. Teachers who believe that they have extenuating circumstances may apply for a waiver for use of Personal Business Leave during “block out days” with the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources.
