Application Timeline. A written application for sabbatical leave must be submitted on or before February 1 for leave taking effect during the next school year. The School Board will render a decision concerning the request for sabbatical leave on or before the regularly scheduled March School Board meeting. The applicant will receive written confirmation of the School Board's decision within three working days of that decision. Sabbatical leave may also be granted to teachers under unique circumstances upon approval of the School Board.
