Appointed Members. The Authorities shall each nominate an elected member to be a Member of the Panel. If a nominated Member agrees to the appointment the Authority may appoint the Member as a Member of the Panel.
Appointed Members. 3. 10 The Authorities shall each nominate an elected member to be a Member of the Panel, and in the case of the City of York, two Members shall be nominated. If a nominated Member agrees to the appointment the Authority may appoint the Member as a Member of the Panel.
3. 11 In the event that an Authority does not appoint a Member or Members in accordance with these requirements, the Secretary of State must appoint a Member to the panel from the defaulting authority in accordance with the provisions in the Act.
3. 12 With a view to ensuring continuity of membership as far as possible, an appointed Member shall be a Member of the Panel for four years unless s/he ceases to be an elected Member, or is removed by their Authority.
3. 13 An Authority may decide in accordance with their procedures to remove their appointed Member from the Panel at any point and on doing so shall give notice to (INSERT DETAILS).
3. 14 An appointed Member may resign from the Panel by giving written notice to the Lead Authority on behalf of the Panel at (INSERT CONTACT DETAIL) and to their Authority at (INSERT CONTACT DETAIL).
3. 15 In the event that any appointed Member resigns from the Panel, or is removed from the Panel by an Authority, the Authority shall immediately take steps to nominate and appoint an alternative Member to the Panel.
3. 16 Members appointed to the Panel may be re-appointed to the Panel for a further term of four years provided that the balanced appointment objective is met by that re-appointment.
3. 17 Co-opted Members
3. 18 The following may not be co-opted Members of the Panel:
a) the PCC for the Police Area.
b) a member of staff of the PCC for the area.
c) a member of the civilian staff of the Police Force for the area.
d) a Member of Parliament.
e) a Member of the National Assembly for Wales.
f) a Member of the Scottish Parliament.
g) a Member of the European Parliament.
3. 19 An elected member of any of the Authorities may not be a co-opted Member of the Panel where the number of co-opted Members is two.
3. 20 If the Panel has three or more co-opted Members an elected member of any of the Authorities may be a co-opted Member of the Panel provided that at least two of the other co-opted Members are not elected members of any of the Authorities.
3. 21 A co-opted Member shall be a Member of the Panel for four years.

Appointed Members. On or before April 1, 1972, the moderators of such of the towns of Acton, Arlington, Boxborough and Carlisle as shall become members of the District pursuant to Section XII shall each appoint one member to serve on the committee for a term of one year; the moderators of such of the towns of Belmont, Concord, Lincoln, and Sudbury as shall become members of the District pursuant to Section XII shall each appoint one member to serve on the Committee for a term of two years; and the moderators of such of the towns of Lexington, Stow, Wayland, and Weston as shall become members of the District pursuant to Section XII shall each appoint one member to serve on the Committee for a term of three years. The moderator of each town that shall be admitted to the District pursuant to Section VIII of this Agreement shall, prior to the date on which admission takes effect, appoint one member to serve on the Committee beginning on such date for a term of three years, or for such shorter term, as may be necessary to retain symmetry of terms on the Committee as a whole. Prior to the date on which the admission of one or more new member towns is to become effective, the Committee shall determine (by lot, if there is more than one such town) the initial term of the member appointed by the moderator of each such town, unless such initial term is specified in this Agreement. In every year in which the term of office of a member expires, the moderators of the respective member towns shall each appoint one member to serve for a term of three years. The term of each member of the Committee shall commence on July 1 of the year in which he or she is appointed.
Appointed Members. Members appointed from a local School Committee shall serve on the Regional District School Committee until replaced by their respective School Committee or until their term on the School Committee of the Participating Town expires. However, upon reelection to the School Committee of a Participating Town, such members are eligible to reappointment to the Regional District School Committee.
Appointed Members. 4.1 Each Constituent Council -
(a) shall appoint one of its councillors as an appointed member of the GMPFCP, and
(b) may also appoint one of its councillors as an appointed member of the GMPFCP in the absence of the person appointed under Clause 4.1(a) (‘substitute appointed member’) provided that members of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority appointed by the constituent councils or substitute members acting in the place of those members may not be members or substitute appointed members of the GMPFCP.
4.2 Where the person nominated under Clause 4.1(a) declines nomination, the Constituent Council shall nominate and appoint another of its councillors to be a member of the GMPFCP.

Appointed Members. 4.1 Each Constituent Council shall appoint one of its councillors as an appointed member of the GMPCP provided that members of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority appointed by the constituent councils or substitute members acting in the place of those members may not be members of the GMPCP.
4.2 Where the person nominated under Clause 4.1 declines nomination, the Constituent Council shall nominate and appoint another of its councillors to be a member of the GMPCP.

Appointed Members. One of the Regional District School Committee members from each Participating Town shall be appointed annually by the local school committee from its own membership not later than 10 days after the annual town election of the Participating Town which votes last.
Appointed Members. 5.1 The NLA may co-opt up to four individuals to join the Trove Strategic Advisory Committee at its discretion. Co-opted members will be chosen by the NLA to complement the skills and expertise of the elected Committee members and ensure diversity of representation on the Committee.
