Appointment and Granting Clause Samples
The 'Appointment and Granting' clause establishes the formal designation of a party—often as an agent, distributor, or licensee—and confers specific rights or authority to act on behalf of the appointing party. Typically, this clause outlines the scope of the appointment, such as geographic territory, duration, or the particular products or services involved. By clearly defining who is authorized to act and what powers are granted, the clause ensures both parties understand their roles and limits, thereby reducing the risk of disputes over authority or scope of representation.
