APPOINTMENT DATES. Individuals who are being appointed as GTAs, regardless of whether the appointment is for an academic year or a shorter period, shall begin work on the effective date of the appointment, unless notified by the GTA's department of earlier required assignments. However, such assignments must be reasonable in relation to the effective date of the appointment. Work requirements for each semester (not including summer session) shall end on the deadline date for turning in course grades. Student work, including assignments and exams, will be returned to the department within thirty (30) days of the deadline.
