Appointment of the Authority Engineer. 16.1.1 The Authority shall appoint a railway engineer/ Project Management Consultancy (PMC), to be the engineer under this Agreement (the “Authority Engineer”). 16.1.2 The appointment of the Authority Engineer shall be made no later than 30 (Thirty) days from the date of this Agreement. The Authority shall notify the appointment or replacement of the Authority Engineer to the Contractor. 16.1.3 The staff of the Authority Engineer shall include suitably qualified engineers and other professionals who are competent to assist the Authority Engineer to carry out its duties.
