Common use of Appointments of Up to One Day Clause in Contracts

Appointments of Up to One Day. When an employee is required to perform the duties of a higher classification and the employee is assigned those duties by their supervisor; the employee shall be paid for the time worked in the higher classification at the rate normally paid for that classification. The minimum amount paid shall be for one hour. The employee must hold the appropriate certification or credentials required to perform the duties of the higher classification.
