Apprentice Seniority. Apprentices will hold seniority as such, to commence as of the first day worked in that capacity; however, during the apprenticeship period, this seniority will be utilized only for the purposes of vacation selection, transfers, reduction and recall of forces, for choice of working hours, and rest days when more than one apprentice is in training at the same location and a seniority preference can be honored without interfering with training in the various aspects of work. An apprentice who permanently transfers to another location will establish a seniority date at the new work location as of the first day worked at such facility and will, after thirty (30) days, forfeit the prior seniority date originally established at the former location.
Apprentice Seniority. (a) Apprentices' seniority for the purpose of vacations, etc., shall be based on their dates of hire.
(b) For Apprentices seniority shall commence with the time and date that the Apprenticeship with the Company began. Seniority shall apply in accordance with other sections of this Agreement, unless the ratio of four Journeymen to one Apprentice would be exceeded and then the junior apprentice shall be laid off. It is understood that employees hired after May 1, 1992 cannot displace employees hired prior to that date by reason of seniority.
Apprentice Seniority. Apprentices shall be bound by all the conditions of the Collective Agreement except as follows:
(a) Apprentice plant seniority for the purpose of vacations, and all other provisions of the agreement except lay-off and recall shall be based on the date of hire.
(b) For the purposes of lay-off and recall, seniority shall commence with the time and date that the Apprenticeship with the Company began. Seniority shall apply in accordance with other sections of this Agreement, unless the ratio of four (4) Journeymen to one (1) Apprentice would be exceeded then the junior apprentice shall be laid off.
Apprentice Seniority. Apprentice Seniority shall be established by date of hire into 2 the apprentice position. In the event of a tie, seniority order shall be decided by seniority in the King
Apprentice Seniority. Apprentices who hold seniority in other classes under agreements with any other craft, will retain and accumulate that seniority during their training period; but all such seniority shall automatically terminate upon acquisition of a mechanic's seniority date. Apprentices will hold seniority as such, separated by crafts, on the seniority district where their training commenced, as of the first day worked as apprentice. This seniority will be utilized only for the purposes of vacation selection, reductions in force and for choice of working hours and rest days, when more than one apprentice is in training at the same point and a seniority preference can be honored without interfering with training in the various aspects of work. Apprentices will not obtain seniority on other seniority districts to which they may be transferred for the purpose of acquiring training and experience.
Apprentice Seniority. Apprentices will not exceed 15% of mechanics in the classification. Apprentices are exempt from the seniority provisions after completion of the first six (6) twelve (12) months of their apprenticeship until removal from the apprentice grade at which time they are given credit for time spent in the apprentice grade. An employee that switches from Local S7 to Local S6 to start the Basic or Advanced Program will be paid the wage rate on the Apprentice Wage Table in Article 19 Section 3 that is the closest to his/her current wage rate at the time of entry into the Program and shall progress in accordance with that table.
Apprentice Seniority. Apprentices will not exceed 15% of mechanics in the classification. Apprentices are exempt from the seniority provisions after completion of the first seven (7) months of their apprenticeship until removal from the apprentice grade at which time they are given credit for time spent in the apprentice grade.
Apprentice Seniority. Apprentices shall be bound by all the conditions of the Collective Agreement as follows:
(a) Apprentice plant seniority for the purpose of all provisions of the Agreement shall be based on the date of hire into the bargaining unit or when an employee transfers into the bargaining unit.
(b) For the purposes of lay-off and recall, seniority shall commence with the date that the Apprentice was hired by the Company. Seniority shall apply in accordance with other sections of this Agreement, unless a ratio of five (5) Journeyman to one (1) Apprentice would be exceeded. Employees hired before April 1, 1992 shall not be displaced by an apprentice in a layoff situation.
Apprentice Seniority. Apprentices who complete their training and -------------------- become Journeymen shall have a seniority date for layoff purposes of their first date of apprenticeship.
Apprentice Seniority. Apprentices who hold Electrician Helper's seniority will retain and continue to accumulate that seniority.
