Union Recognition and Membership. Section 2.1. The County recognizes the Union as representing its members in job classification 6210100 Court Clerk I and job classification 6210200 Court Clerk II.
Section 2.2. It shall be a condition of employment that all regular full time and regular part time, and term-limited temporary employees covered by this Agreement who are members of the Union in good standing on the effective date of this Agreement shall remain members in good standing or pay an agency fee to the Union for their representation to the extent permitted by law. Those who are not members on the effective date of this Agreement shall become and remain members in good standing or pay an agency fee to the Union for their representation to the extent permitted by law. It shall also be a condition of employment that all employees covered by this Agreement and hired on or assigned into the bargaining unit on or after its effective date shall, on the thirtieth (30th) day following the beginning of such employment, become and remain members in good standing in the Union or pay an agency fee to the Union for their representation to the extent permitted by law. Provided, however, that nothing contained in this section shall require an employee to join the Union whose religious beliefs prohibit the payment of dues or initiation fees to Union organizations, in which case the employee shall pay an amount of money equivalent to regular union dues and initiation fee to a non-religious charitable organization mutually agreed upon by the employee affected and the bargaining representative to which such employee would otherwise pay the dues and initiation fee. The employee shall furnish written proof that such payment has been made. If the employee and the Union cannot agree on the non-religious charity, the Public Employment Relations Commission shall designate the charitable organization. All initiation fees and dues paid either to the Union or charity shall be for non-political purposes.
Union Recognition and Membership. (a) For the duration of the Agreement Caroma Industries recognises the National Union of Workers (NSW Branch) as being the Union that can, subject to its Rules and Constitution, represent all employees whose terms and conditions of employment are governed by this Agreement.
(b) It is the policy of Caroma Industries that all its employees subject to this Agreement shall be given the opportunity to join the National Union of Workers (NSW Branch) or any other Union to which the employee is eligible to join.
(c) Caroma Industries undertakes, upon authorisation, to deduct Union Membership Dues, as levied by the National Union of Workers (NSW Branch) in accordance with its rules, from the pay of employees who are members of the National Union of Workers (NSW Branch) at the beginning of each month together with all necessary information to enable the reconciliation and crediting of subscriptions to members’ accounts. All new employees shall be advised of these matters (14(a), 14(b) and 14(c) above) and shall be introduced to the site NUW Delegates upon being accepted for permanent employment.
Union Recognition and Membership. (a) All new employees will be advised there is an enterprise agreement on site and that it has been negotiated between Strandbags and the UWU.
(b) All new employees will be given an application form to join the UWU at the point of induction.
(c) All new employees will be introduced to the UWU delegate within the induction period.
(d) This Enterprise Agreement does not purport, either directly or indirectly, to compel or require an employee to join a union or in any way discriminate against or disadvantage an employee because the employee is or is not a member of a union.
(e) Strandbags will upon authorisation to deduct UWU membership dues, as levied by the United Workers Union (NSW Branch) in accordance with its rules, from pay of employees who are members of the UWU at the beginning of each month. All necessary information to enable the reconciliation and crediting of subscriptions to members’ accounts will also be forwarded by Strandbags to the UWU.
(f) Strandbags will allow union representatives to induct new employees. During a new employee’s Strandbags induction a union induction will not take more than 10 minutes. Strandbags will notify the union about the orientation date a week ahead, so union representatives can attend the induction.
(g) An employee elected as a union delegate will, upon notification to Strandbags, be recognised as a union delegate. A union delegate is allowed up to 30 minutes per week during working hours to conduct matters on behalf of the union on industrial matters affecting employees whom they represent.

The County recognizes the Unions as the sole collective bargaining 19 representative of all employees whose job classifications are listed in Addendum D, which by this 20 reference is made a part of this Agreement, or in new or added classifications where the employees 21 perform substantially similar work as the present job classifications.

3.1 The Employer recognizes the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union Local 1518 as the exclusive bargaining agent for all bargaining unit employees.
3.2 Bargaining unit employees, as a condition of employment must remain members of the union for the duration of their employment or until they obtain positions within the Company, outside the bargaining unit.
3.3 The Company agrees to deduct from the wages of each employee upon proper authorization from the employee affected, such initiation fees and Union dues as are authorized by regular and proper vote of the membership of the Union. The Company agrees to honour a written assignment for initiation fees and Union dues on behalf of any employee who is or becomes a member of the Union. Union dues will be deducted and remitted to the Union starting on the new employee’s date of hire.
3.4 Monies deducted during any month shall be forwarded by the Company to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union on or about the fifteenth (15th) day of the month following for which dues are deducted and accompanied by a written statement of the names for whom the deductions were made and the amount of each deduction, along with a list of names of the employees for whom no deduction was made and the reasons therefore. In addition to the Secretary-Treasurer, the Chief Shop Xxxxxxx shall also be furnished with this list. The amount of Union dues paid by an employee during a taxation year shall be shown on the employee’s statement of remuneration paid form, T4, supplementary, or such other similar form furnished by the Federal Income Tax Authorities.
Union Recognition and Membership. Section 1. The Employer recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent in all matters pertaining to wages, hours, and working conditions for all educational employees (as defined in Public Act 83-1014) in classifications as hereinafter enumerated in Schedule A at Western Illinois University, Macomb campus, as certified by the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Board (Case No. 2011-RC-0003-S, 2012-RS-0006-S, and 2012- RS-0007-S).
Section 2. If absence from work is involved, any Union officer, xxxxxxx, or member shall request and may be granted permission by their Supervisor to attend negotiations or contractually mandated meetings necessary to processing grievances or other meetings agreed to by the employer necessary to administration of this Agreement. Such request shall not be unreasonably denied. The Supervisor must notify the employee of whether the absence will be granted within a reasonable time after receiving the request. If these meetings occur during the employee's regular work shift, the employee will receive his/her regular pay. The number of bargaining team members eligible to receive their regular pay to attend negotiations shall be limited to five (5) employees, in total, per negotiating session.
Section 3. The Department of Human Resources will be responsible for informing new bargaining unit employees of their representation by AFSCME and an appropriate Union contact.
Section 4. When a council representative or any other Union official not an employee of the University wishes to visit or inspect a work area and/or meet with the University representative, it will be the responsibility of the official and/or the Local officer to inform the Director of Human Resources prior to the intended meeting or visit.
Section 5. The Union agrees that it will not conduct Union business during working hours except in regards to those matters expressly provided in this Agreement in reference to grievances or meetings for other matters as shall be mutually agreed.
Section 6. The Union will notify the Employer of Local 8223 (temporary local number) officers and stewards, on a current basis. The Employer will provide the Union on an annual basis a list of bargaining unit employees that includes their listed University and classification start date.
