Appropriate Dress and Language Code. The Company and the Union agree to a dress code which will encourage neat and professional appearing employees whenever possible, and to promote the use of verbal language which is appropriate and acceptable. Employees are expected to treat all persons with respect, and to recognize and value cultural diversity. Dress code will vary as required to meet the particular work situation of the employee. Guidelines may be established that reflect the requirements of the department and/or employee work situation. General clothing guidelines for all employees shall: 1) Be appropriate to the job being performed; 2) Not present a safety hazard or a risk to the performance of the employee; 3) Not be distracting to customers or fellow employees, and; 4) Whenever possible, clothing should be reflective of the professional nature of the Company’s business.
