Common use of Approvals Rescinded Clause in Contracts

Approvals Rescinded. In the event any final administrative or judicial decision or adjudication disapproves a previously approved request for purchase of personal services pursuant to Article 11, Section 5 of the Michigan Constitution of 1963, and Chapter 7 of the Civil Service Rules, the State may cancel this contract. Notwithstanding any other provision of this contract to the contrary, the State Personnel Director is authorized to disapprove contractual disbursements for personal services if the Director determines that disbursements under this contract violate Article 11, Section 5 of the Michigan Constitution or violate applicable Civil Service rules or regulations. Cancellation may be in whole or in part and may be immediate as of the date of the written notice to the Contractor or may be effective as of the date stated in such written notice.
