Architect Certification. Where required by the Department, the Recipient shall cause the Work architect(s) or other appropriate professional to certify to the Department, in form acceptable to the Department, that all construction is completed in accordance with the “as-built” Plans and Specifications and in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws relating to disabled accessibility.

Additionally, prior to loan closing but after construction completion, the Sponsor shall provide a certification of compliance with the accessibility requirements as required by the applicable Guidelines, signed by the Borrower and the project architect as well as third party documentation confirming compliance by a Certified Access Specialist (CASp) with demonstrated experience meeting federal accessibility standards, or by an architect with demonstrated experience meeting federal accessibility standards.
