Common use of Architect’s Interpretation Clause in Contracts

Architect’s Interpretation. The Architect shall interpret and decide matters concerning the performance of the District or the Contractor on written request of either the District or the Contractor. The Architect shall respond to and issue clarifications as necessary to address and resolve questions or inquiries of the Contractor relative to coordination, consistency and clarity of the Design Documents and the component parts thereof. The Architect’s responses to the foregoing shall be made with reasonable promptness and within any time limits established in the Construction Contract or which may otherwise be mutually agreed upon.
